About your Bae
My name is Shéhrazade, a proud blend of Moroccan and French heritage, with a strong connection to my Berber roots. Marrakesh is not only my birthplace, but the wellspring of my cultural identity. While Paris was my home for the past 15 years, my journey into the world of design originated from my passion for self-expression and celebration of life... and love. Venturing into fabric wholesale markets in Morocco, I explored end-of-series textiles with the intention of repurposing them. Amidst the diverse offerings, I discovered a stunning array of colorful, shiny fabrics that instantly captivated me. Despite my initial struggle to choose, I found myself unable to resist the allure of these textiles (oops🙈). Determined to give each one a purpose, I made the decision to acquire them all, promising myself to infuse each piece with the beauty these fabrics exude.

I pictured myself in something airy, effortless and one-of-a-kind, suitable for all-day wear in various settings—over a dress, shorts and a crop top, or even a swimsuit. Observing a sea of predominantly black outfits everywhere I went, I felt the urge to create lightweight, vibrant, and shiny robes that could serve as a joyful and distinctive alternative. These silk outfits became my signature look, worn proudly in the bustling streets of Paris, NYC, and Lisbon. Surprisingly, strangers and friends started approaching me, curious about the brand behind my unique attire. Encouraged by this positive reception, I decided to embark on creating a few more pieces for all of you! I hope you find as much joy in wearing them as I do.

Each piece of summer collection supports the project of a Berber micro-entrepreneur in the Demnate region, where my maternal grandparents come from. I've met a dozen strong, bold and inspiring women who wanted to start a local business, but needed a small investment they couldn't afford. I dedicate this collection to them, hoping that you will fall in love with their projects including olive trees, goats, bees, and other treasures from the Atlas mountains.
